04 November 

       

 The day started with morning prayer. I got a substitution period at VIII B. I took the continuation of the chapter A Day in the Country. I could take the class in the way I planned, but students were less attentive and distracted throughout the class. Second period i got a substitution period at X A. The rest of the period I was engaged with lesson plan writing and prepared some slides for the conscientization programme. Today I helped Vishnu Gopal sir for the construction of a chart for the project.

                

05 November

The day started with morning prayer. First period of VIII B was mine. I continued the chapter A Day in the Country. At the initial stage I asked some review questions and students responded correctly. I gave them sufficient activities based on the chapter. Poster writing was the discourse construction. I used both Power point presentation and chart as my teaching aids. Students were highly cooperative and attentive in the class. Third period I collected data from IX A students for my project. Fourth period I observed the class of Binoy Varghese. The topic was Resistance at the class IX B.  

06 November

Another day started with special morning assembly conducted by the most active students in this school VII B. They conducted the assembly in a well organized way. They presented posters based on the importance of the week.  First period of VIII B was mine. I continued the same chapter. I used both Power point presentation and chart as my teaching aids. Kahinadh was very distracted and disturbed other students. I had to put lots of effort for maintain the decorum of the class, even though the other students cooperate with me. They were actively participated in all the activities. The rest of the period I was engaged with my works. Fifth period I collected data from X B.

07 November

As usual I got first period at VIII B and I finished the chapter A Day in the Country, and I gave them sufficient activities based on the chapter. I ensured the complete participation of the class. Poem writing was the discourse construction. Akhila presented her poem in a wonderful manner. I had last period at VIII B. I took a grammar portion there- simple present tense using Direct Instruction Model. This model helped me to conveying the major principles behind the functions of simple present tense. At the evening we got signed records and reflective journal from the Principal.

WEEK 3                                                                                                                November 26 - 30

26 November 

        The day started with special morning assembly. At the assembly time certificate distribution was done by headmistress regarding school youth festival programmes. Today I had observation by our optional teacher and Principal Dr. Anila Chacko. I got second period at my class VIII B. I took the continuation of the chapter The Nightingale and the Rose. I could take the class in the way I planned. Second period I had a substitution class at X A and X B. In the afternoon Dr Vidhya came to our school for observing the classes of Anju and Nimisha. The rest of the period I was engaged with lesson plan writing. 

PRIZE DISTRIBUTION 

27 November

Second I didn’t have any class at VIII B. I got substitution class at X A and IX A. Fourth period I was in the Malayathilakkam programme. In that class Kashinadh of VIII B class sung a wonderful song for the students presented over there. The last two periods were physical training for VIII A and VIII B. I also joined to them and we played badminton. That was also a nice experience for me.

28 November

The day started with morning prayer. First period of VIII B was mine. I finished thee chapter The Nightingale and the Rose. I gave them sufficient activities based on the chapter. Letter writing was the discourse construction. I used both Power point presentation and chart as my teaching aids. Students were highly cooperative and attentive in the class. Sixth period I had substitution at X A. The students of that class were very excited because they have a wonderful trip tomorrow. We discussed about excursions and shared my experiences. I wish them a wonderful journey.

29 November

Another day started with morning prayer. First period of VIII B was mine. Today I dealt with a Model- Concept Attainment Model on Pronouns. I used both Power point presentation and chart as my teaching aids. The students showed interest to learning grammar. The students were very much familiar with pronouns so the task of mine was quite easy. They were actively participated in all the activities. I played a video related to the topic.  The rest of the period I was engaged with my works. Fifth period I had substitution class at VII B the students were practicing for cultural programmes. Sixth period I had another substitution at VIII A. In that class the students engaged for the activities of science exhibition 

30 November

Fifth day started with morning assembly. As usual I got first period at VIII B and i planned to conduct a role play based on the last chapter of the first unit, so today I dealt with Role Play Model- A Day in the Country. I gave them major instructions and criteria. They played their roles very well. Initially I created a good rapport with them and selected the participants for the two enactments. I introduced the name of the author and shoed more details also. I used both Power point and Charts as teaching aids.  After the enactment I asked some questions and shared their experiences. The rest of the period i was engaged with my own works.
